After is committed to developing and supporting artist’s practice through exhibition, collaboration, commission, studio visits, artists talks and digital residency.  After’s show programme also provides a fantastic opportunity for our audience to own affordable artworks by the newest breakthrough artists.

After was co founded in 2015 by Julie Bentley and Nick Scammell following their graduation from MA Photography at The London College Of  Communication. 

Julie grew up in Margate (England) before leaving to study Film at Leeds University. An early career in picture editing and photography direction preceded Julie establishing her own film and photographic practice. Addressing her fascination with the seductive power of cinema, Julie’s work has been published worldwide including titles such as Vogue, Elle, The Sunday Times, Exit, iD, and Oyster.      

Julie will be opening her own gallery space, 163, in 2018.
